About Me
“Bereavement is a universal and integral part of our experience of love.” C.S. Lewis, A Grief Observed

I am Aubrey, a wife, mom and Christian with dual passions for writing and death care. I have over 10 years of professional writing and editing experience, and have worked in both corporate and family-owned funeral homes throughout the greater DFW area. I am married to the love of my life, Austin, and together we share two beautiful children.
In 2017, I graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, where I studied funeral directing, embalming and restorative art, counseling, grief psychology, composition and public speaking as it relates to funeral service. |
I hold certifications in cremation arrangement and operation (ICCFA), as well as burial at sea (NEBAS). My work has been featured in Coming of Age Magazine, The Modern Mortician, All Gifts Considered, and US Urns Online.
I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, latch-hooking, traveling (especially to the beach), and loving on our family cat, Sue Ellen. I have a few tattoos, Blue October is my favorite band and I am a Pilates enthusiast! When you get a chance, be sure to check out my other site, heirloomwritingservices.com.
I look forward to working with you to create the best eulogy possible for your loved one.
