Hey everybody, it's Aubrey with eulogiesbyaubrey.com. It's vlog postin' time. It's been about a month since I posted my last vlog, so I thought that this morning I would give y'all an idea of what I receive on my end of the process, when you order a eulogy through my website. What I get on my end of things with the notification of your order through my emails and all that kind of thing. I always think it's kind of interesting. I always wonder when I order a service or product from somebody, how it works on their end, the whole processing aspect from start to finish. I just want to clear that up for you in case you're wondering how it all goes down.
It all goes down right here, this is my desk area. It goes all the way down there. This is in my home, so I work out of my home. It's usually covered with a whole lot more notes and shenanigans than this, but for the sake of this vlog I cleared it all off for you. Anyway, so I guess we can begin.
So when you first search for a eulogy writing service, and you land on my page, this is the website you see. I'm using Mozilla; I know that's kind of old, I know a lot of people are using Chrome. I'm just kind of old school, I'm still using Mozilla so forgive me for that. Anyways, this is the home page of the website; you'll probably (when you land here) you might read through or skim through this in the very least, just to get the overall idea of my business, Eulogies by Aubrey, and what we do.
Up here are all the different tabs for more information. About Me: there's an About Me tab; Eulogy Resources; Examples. The Eulogy Examples page: these are made-up examples. How I made these? I had members of my family basically go to the form on my Order page and create a made-up person and then send it to me as a test run. To see how the Order form worked and also so that I could get some examples written. So these three examples were made up from people in my family; my mom made up this guy, my brother made up Denison, my sister made up Marcob Lumpsy. It tells you right there that these are 100% invented, but it gives you an idea of my writing style.
Then you've got the About Me page. If you want to read about me, you can also check out my LinkedIn down here, and some other social medias. I post a blog/vlog here about once a month, I need to do better, but at least once a month. Every few days or so I'll do Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, so if y'all are interested in following me and keeping up with me there, you sure can, you're more than welcome to.
This is where you'd find the vlog. When I first started Eulogies by Aubrey in March of 2019, I wrote out blogs. They go on and on and on, all the way back to 2019. I would write them once a week. I was really trying to get my SEO boosted, so that I could get my eulogy writing service into the top of the search engines. Which I'm happy to say, that with some help I received, that's finally a reality. So I'm able to reach more people who need me that way, which is excellent.
This is my last vlog I did, so you if you want to keep up with me on YouTube, you can subscribe to me on YouTube, or you can come click here because I post them here too. I transcribe them too, so in case you need to read it, you can read it instead. But this last one was from a month ago, back in July, so it's about time I did another one. So I'll post this one probably today or tomorrow. I try to post them on Fridays, and today's Thursday, just to keep it all squared away for myself. Then I'll transcribe it again like I said for you.
If you just have a question or need help with anything at all, you can just shoot me a message right here. It's super easy, it's just a regular old form and you can submit it. Or you can send me an email from your regular email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll get it. It all goes to the same place. So I will receive it and what happens when I get an order or an email from anybody, I get notified on my phone immediately, so I'll get it right away.
And here...I just want to share this with you real quick. My sister Cassie - she is a super talented digital artist and I've part with her for commissioned pet portraits. You can read it if you want to but basically, if your pet passes away and you're planning on holding a memorial service (or even if you're not and you just want a nice digital painting for them that you can hang in your home), my sister can do that for you. I have several commissioned pieces by her, one is for my cat Gracie (she's still with us, she just did it for her). Anyways, if you go through my website, click right here to go to her page...let me show you her page.
This is her page, and that's her baby Dante. Anyways, you can go to her page and see her amazing examples of the artwork she's done. This is my girl Gracie right here - she did her so beautiful. It almost looks like a photograph, it's how good she is. But anyways, if you type in the code "PET PORTRAIT", you can receive 10% off your order from her. If that's something you're interested in, I highly recommend her. Yes she's my sister, but obviously she's a really good artist, too, and I wouldn't tell you to go to her if she wasn't. She's amazing, so check out her website for sure.
Okay, let's get to the nitty gritty. You need to order a eulogy, so you'll come right here, Eulogy Writing Service. It used to say, Order Here, or Order Form, or something like that; but this sounds a lot better. This is the page that you'll land on. Up here, all of this jazz is reiterating what you receive, how much it costs. I do charge $125. That's a pretty competitive rate compared to other eulogy services online. I do encourage you to check out my examples beforehand so you can get a sense of my writing style. And here it is right here. the eulogy order form.
It's super simple. All you have to do is fill out the form right here as best as you can. You don't have to answer everything; some things won't really have an answer, and you can just leave it blank or put in N/A. Like, Did your loved one serve in the military? There's one question about that. If they didn't, you don't have to fill that out. You don't have to fill out personal stuff if you don't want to, but things like about their love story, the moral code they lived by, etc. helps me in the writing process to get an idea of who your loved one was and help me fill out their eulogy. It helps me figure out more about them and write their eulogy in the best way that I can.
Now down here is the most important thing that I need to let you know about. There's a Submit button right here and there's a PayPal button down here. In the trial and error of setting up the business, it happened sometimes that people would skip over the Submit button, I guess because it's the same color scheme as the order form. But they would skip over Submit and click the Buy Now button, thinking that when they did that, they paid and submitted their data at the same time. Then they'd lose everything, and I would get a payment with no order form. So I have note in red right here. It's very important to Submit this first, and then after that, to click the Buy Now button.
So let's do a test run really fast. My name...phone number...email address. I'm doing this with one hand, I'm not usually this slow at typing! Okay, let's give some answers real quick. That's a good answer...super deep. I'm going to be able to get a lot of information from this one. Okay. Then you come down here and you click Submit, and you'll see some circles like that for a few seconds, and then a message box should pop up, letting you know that it was submitted, to remind you to pay me, and that I received it and that I'll get back with you as soon as possible to let you know. When I receive your order form, I'll have it ready for you within 48 hours, most of the time well before that.
After you do that, now you can come down here to the Buy Now button. This does go through PayPal but you don't have to have a PayPal account to use this. You basically click that, enter your stuff and then you can pay that way.
Down here, there's a little note. Sometimes I'll get questions regarding the privacy of this form. This form is from a company called BoomForm, they're based in Europe. I pay for this form specifically because it's encrypted. So you don't ever have to worry about your information getting into the wrong hands, and anything you send to me through this form is only seen by you and me. I don't share it with anyone, not even my husband (I share work stuff with my husband but not regarding specific clients or their information). Or with anybody that I know or on any social media; so that's something that you can trust me with.
Alright. I think I've gone over the basics of my website. Now I'm going to show you from my email, what it looks like when I get an order notification from you. Give me one second....
Okay, so I've gotten a notification on my phone that I've gotten a eulogy order. So I'll usually come on my laptop and I'll see it, and this is what the email will look like.
And then once I receive your BoomForm notification through my email, I'll get started on your eulogy order, and you'll have it back within that 48 hour mark. Usually well before that.
Besides that, I wanted to let you know: with the nature of grief, and the nature of getting your thoughts out on paper (writing a eulogy), perhaps you might think of something that you meant to add to the order form but didn't remember to add at the time. Or something that you want to take out that you weren't totally sure you wanted to add it; you want it removed. Or anything like that, just send me an email. You can send me a hundred emails! Please don't worry that you're bothering me, I understand that it's just the nature of it; that's how it works. You won't be the only one who's done that. I might have to send you more than one email as well because I need to get your eulogy just right for you. That's just to be expected, so don't worry about that if you need to email me anything like that.
Besides that, we've been having a good day here. The weather is a little bit overcast right now up here in Fort Worth. We have Hurricane Laura down on the coast but besides that, we've been having a beautiful day. I hope you've been having a beautiful day, a blessed day, and I will see you next time, bye!
